| Pamela Fisher grew up in the Quad Cities,
graduating from Moline High School in 1977. Pam moved
to Alaska for a summer and stayed for 20 years, working
in aviation and tourism. Following her soul, she moved
from Southeast Alaska to Anchorage in 1997 to enhance
her career in aviation sales and marketing. As things
happened exactly as she did not plan them to, she discovered
acupressure and began her own journey of healing. Soon
she accepted that she was exactly where she needed to
be, and quit her aviation job to begin studying Jin Shin
Do Acupressure and Swedish Massage.
Pam graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage's
Massage Therapy Program in June 1999 with 1,025 hours,
and trained in acupressure at the Alaska Whole Health
Institute in Anchorage, finishing up her one-year apprenticeship
in June 1999, with 500 hours.
Pam plans to continue studying Eastern philosophy and
Native American healing traditions, and meanwhile, dabbles
in spiritual guidance and dream interpretation. She enjoys
riding her Harley (a 2007 FLHRSE3 Screamin' Eagle Road
King), camping, fly fishing, skiing, and has enjoyed traveling
around the world, especially to exotic tropical locales.
Pam has snow skied in Big Sky, Montana, Ketchum, Idaho,
Alpental, Washington, Park West, Park City, Deer Valley,
Alta, Utah, Eaglecrest in Juneau, Alaska, and has cross
country skied all over the Alaskan/Canadian border outside
of Skagway, Alaska. Pam has been to Paris and Lyon, France;
Shannon, Waterford, Dublin and in-between in Ireland;
Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Tahiti, Belize (Caye Caulker),
Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and several
times to Mexico - Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta,
Manzanillo; and has lived in Maui, Hawaii: Park City,
Utah; Scottsdale, Arizona; and while in Alaska lived in
Skagway for 8 years, Juneau for 10 years, and Anchorage
for 2 years. She traveled around Alaska extensively while
working for the airlines. And of course, Pam has seen
almost all of the United States and Canada. Still on her
list is seeing the wildlife in Africa, the Taj Mahal in
India, South America; and eventually wants to visit all
of the natural wonders of the world.
